Just this year the Chapter has begun collecting no longer used prescription eye glasses. Cathy Baker heads up this project. Donated eye glasses are taken to our local Walmart, who in turns donates the prescription eye glasses to the Lions’ Recycle for Sight Program.

If you have old eye glasses and are wondering what to do with them and don’t want to just throw them away, come on down to the Clubhouse. The AARP Chapter #1775 pegboard has a rather large container labeled Prescription Eyeglass Collection. Just put your glasses in there and you will be helping someone who needs them.
